| Andrea Schmidt is a Toronto-based baker who studied at George Brown. Currently she is baking bread part-time at Dough Bakeshop on Danforth, just east of Broadview on the south side. Come visit! Recently she was honoured as a finalist and winner of the People's Choice award for a Maple-Glazed Bacon & Chive shortbread recipe she came up with, in collaboration with her colleague Natalie Chow, in a local shortbread contest! She is also busy working on layout projects -- her first career is designer -- for the months of February–May, and taking the courses in George Brown's "Artisan Bread Baking" Certificate.
