I never thought I'd be overly interested in chanting; however, when I attended the I Can Do It conference in Toronto last summer, put on by Hay House Publishing , I was introduced to this breathtakingly beautiful chant that I've grown to love. Gabrielle Bernstein blew my mind with her talk because it was so extremely personal. She shared a recent experience of uncovering and facing up to an old trauma. She taught us this chant, and on that summer day we all chanted with her, and cried. And started to heal. What I learned from Gabrielle (and since then) is that we all have old traumas. When the time is right, they bubble up asking us for attention and love. And attending to and healing our old hurts is powerful and important work.
